Lighting Art Booth (Outdoors)
These lights were AMAZING! I used them in a 10 x 10 booth outdoors at night. The universal clamps were not wide enough to clamp on to the 6ft. table but since I had wine box displays they easily attached to them. They were easy to unpack and although I had the use of an outlet I used the batteries instead (less wires to trip over). The batteries lasted from 7pm-10pm with no problems and illuminated my pieces brilliantly. I did recharge every night after use.The lights were inconspicuous and made the entire booth look elegant. I would like to mention that the booth also had some other lighting, i.e., two strands of incandescent lights hanging overhead from the booth. But I believe without the overhead lights the two CK2 lights I had would have been enough to show off the pieces on the table. They also held up to a storm that blew on through in the middle of the night. The storm knocked all my displays down, including the lights. Fortunately the lights held up to the knocking around and little water. Although, I have not tried to turn them on after this incident.Wonderful sales support! I told them what I needed and they suggested the perfect lights for my purpose. Thanks so much. It made my night time festival show experience a breeze. I definitely recommend these lights. Thanks Silicon light works!
no more electricity fees! Lov the system & shows off my jewelry brilliantly!
Nice lights with one issue
These are nice looking powerful lights and they are doing a very good job of lighting up my 8 foot hop-up. My only gripe is the rail on the mounting bracket that slides into the base of the light is extremely tight so its been a pain to attach and remove the lights. Other than that I am vey happy with my purchase.
Silicon Lightworks: Thanks for your feedback Carlos. Please note the lights are designed to fit snugly onto the various mounting brackets and clamps to ensure they are not accidentally knocked off your exhibit structure. Having said that, it should only take a modest amount of force to attach and remove the lights. Occasionally, some excess material (called "flashing") remains from the molding process of the light base and can interfere with the smooth operation of the rail system. If this is happening in your case, the flashing can be easily removed with a razor blade or small file. Another possible solution is to apply a drop or two of lubricant to the rails (WD-40 or Triflow both work great). This should greatly reduce the friction in the system. If neither of these suggestions improve your situation, we would be happy to exchange your lights for new ones as they are well within our 1 year warranty period.
Love the Lights
The lights worked great and we timed the charge, it was exactly 7 hours for two lights. No more paying for electrical outlets!
Silicon Lightworks: Thanks for your feedback Thomas. Please note that you will achieve the longest run times when powering your lights at 12 volts. For example, if powering 2 lights from 1 Mobile Power Center ("MPC"), run times will be roughly 20-30 minutes longer when the voltage is set to 12 volts (as compared to 19 volts). To select 12 volts, simply slide the voltage selector on the side of the MPC to the "12V" position.
I purchased the CK2 kit and have used the lights for the first time last week. I cannot believe how much better they are compared to my old 50 watt halogens they replaced. I'm lighting up two 3 foot wide banners and the banner really pop now. Best part is I saved $129 on electric rental fees first show out of the gate! Fit and finish of the lights and battery pack are top notch. Recommending without reservation.
